The journey takes you through the Ziz Valley, a spectacular stretch of palm groves, small oases, and ancient kasbahs. Along the way, you can stop at local Berber villages to see traditional mud-brick architecture and meet the friendly locals. Continue to Erfoud, known for its fossil-rich lands, and take a brief stop to explore the fossils or enjoy tea with locals. In the late afternoon, arrive in Merzouga, at the edge of the vast Erg Chebbi dunes. Here, you’ll hop onto camels for a stunning sunset trek into the dunes, an unforgettable experience as the sky turns golden over the endless sands. At night, enjoy a traditional Berber dinner at your desert camp and sleep under a blanket of stars, surrounded by the quiet magic of the Sahara.

Day 2: Merzouga – Todra Gorge – Dades Valley

Wake up early to witness the sunrise over the Sahara dunes, a mesmerizing spectacle worth every effort. After breakfast, you leave the desert behind and start the journey westward toward the Todra Gorge, a dramatic canyon carved by the Todra River. Along the way, you’ll pass through small desert villages and lush palm oases, stopping for photos and to appreciate the local way of life. Arrive at Todra Gorge, where the cliffs rise hundreds of meters above the riverbed, perfect for short hikes or simply soaking in the stunning views. Continue driving along the winding roads to the Dades Valley, famous for its “Monkey Fingers” rock formations and scenic kasbahs. Overnight in a comfortable hotel in Dades, where you can relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

Day 3: Dades Valley – Ouarzazate – Marrakech

On the final day, depart Dades and journey toward Marrakech via the historic Tizi n’Tichka Pass, crossing the High Atlas Mountains. Stop at Ouarzazate, Morocco’s “Gateway to the Sahara” and a city renowned for its film studios and Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Take time to explore this impressive kasbah, used as a backdrop in many famous films. Continue winding through the mountains, enjoying breathtaking panoramic views, traditional Berber villages, and terraced landscapes.
