Day 1: Errachidia – Merzouga Desert

Your journey begins early in Errachidia, where you meet your driver and depart southeast toward Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara Desert. Drive through the Ziz Valley, a stunning corridor of palm groves, oases, and traditional Berber villages. Stop for photographs and short walks, enjoying the serene desert landscapes. Continue to Erfoud, famous for its fossils, and take time to explore a fossil workshop or enjoy tea with locals. Arrive in Merzouga in the late afternoon and prepare for a sunset camel trek across the towering Erg Chebbi dunes. Experience the quiet magic of the desert as the sun sets, then settle into your desert camp for a traditional Berber dinner and an unforgettable night under the stars.

Day 2: Merzouga – Rissani – Khamlia Village – Desert Exploration

Wake up early to witness the spectacular sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast, explore Merzouga on a 4×4 excursion or camel ride to nearby desert attractions. Visit Rissani, the historic center of Saharan trade, where you can wander through the bustling local market and see ancient ksars (fortified villages). After breakfast, leave the desert and head west toward the Todra Gorge, a breathtaking canyon with cliffs rising hundreds of meters above the riverbed. Stop along the way to admire desert villages and palm groves, taking photographs and short walks. In Todra Gorge, enjoy a gentle hike or simply take in the dramatic scenery. Continue to the Dades Valley, famous for its unique rock formations called the “Monkey Fingers” and scenic kasbahs nestled along the valley. Day 4: Dades Valley – Rose Valley – Ouarzazate – Ait Benhaddou

Today, drive through the scenic Rose Valley, known for its aromatic rose fields and picturesque landscapes. Visit the iconic Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of Morocco’s most photographed locations, featuring impressive mud-brick architecture. Afterward, drive along the route through the High Atlas foothills, with beautiful mountain views, stopping for photos in Berber villages. Day 5: High Atlas Mountains – Tizi n’Tichka Pass – Marrakech

On the final day, drive through the majestic High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, one of Morocco’s highest road passes, offering panoramic views of the peaks, valleys, and terraced villages. Enjoy stops for photos and short walks to appreciate the dramatic scenery. Arrive in Marrakech in the late morning or early afternoon.
