Itinerary :

Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Ouarzazate

Depart Marrakech early in the morning, crossing the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass, the highest point of the High Atlas Mountains. Stop in Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site famous for its ancient kasbahs and as a filming location for many Hollywood movies. Explore the kasbah and take photos of its iconic mud-brick architecture. Continue through the picturesque valleys and deserts near Ouarzazate, known as the “Gateway to the Sahara.” Overnight in Ouarzazate or a nearby kasbah hotel.

Day 2: Ouarzazate – Dades Valley – Todra Gorge – Merzouga (Erg Chebbi)

Travel along the famous Dades Valley, known as the “Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs,” stopping to admire the towering cliffs and striking rock formations. Visit Todra Gorge, a spectacular canyon perfect for short walks and photography. Continue through Errachidia to reach Merzouga, home of the magnificent Erg Chebbi dunes. Depart Merzouga and drive towards Zagora, stopping in Rissani, an ancient caravan town, for a taste of local life at its lively market. Continue through the desert landscapes to reach Erg Chegaga, the more remote and wild desert dunes of southern Morocco. Enjoy a camel ride at sunset over the expansive Erg Chegaga dunes. Overnight in a desert camp, experiencing tranquility far from tourist crowds.

Day 4: Erg Chegaga – M’hamid – Atlas Foothills

After a peaceful desert sunrise, depart Erg Chegaga and drive through the Draa Valley, famous for its palm groves, kasbahs, and small Berber villages. Stop at M’hamid, a historic caravan town, and enjoy a traditional lunch in a local guesthouse. Continue through scenic valleys and mountains, returning gradually toward Marrakech, crossing the High Atlas foothills. Overnight near the Atlas Mountains or in Ouarzazate, depending on timing and comfort preferences.

Day 5: Atlas Mountains – Marrakech

Drive back to Marrakech, passing through villages and valleys of the Atlas Mountains. Stop for photos and short walks in scenic spots along the way. Arrive in Marrakech in the afternoon, where the tour ends with hotel drop-off or airport transfer. Travelers have the afternoon free to relax or explore Marrakech independently.
