Itinerary :
Day 1: Agadir – Marrakech
After breakfast, depart from Agadir and head to Marrakech. Upon arrival, explore the highlights of this imperial city with a guided tour. Visit historical sites such as the Saadian Tombs and the exquisite Bahia Palace. Stroll through the lively Jemaa el-Fna square, admire the serene Majorelle Gardens, and explore the bustling spice and artisan markets. Overnight in Marrakech.
Day 2: Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley
Leave Marrakech and cross the High Atlas Mountains via the scenic Tizi n’Tichka pass. Stop at the iconic Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a historic fortified village along the old desert caravan route. Continue to Ouarzazate to see the famous film studios and Taourirt Kasbah. Drive through Skoura and its ancient kasbahs, then pass through Kalaat M’Gouna, the rose valley, before arriving at the Dades Gorge for an overnight stay.
Day 3: Dades Valley – Todra Gorge – Merzouga
Journey from the Dades Valley to Merzouga, home to Morocco’s tallest desert dunes. En route, explore the Todra Gorge with its dramatic cliffs and river, a popular site for rock climbers. Continue via Erfoud, enjoying the lush palm groves, before arriving in Merzouga. Spend the evening at a local hotel and savor a traditional Moroccan dinner.
Day 4: Merzouga Desert Experience
Explore the wonders of the Sahara Desert. Visit nomadic communities and learn about their way of life. Stop at Mifis to observe iron mining, and then head to Khamlia village to experience the rhythms of Gnaoua music. After lunch, enjoy a camel ride across the dunes to reach a desert camp, where you’ll spend a magical night under the stars, accompanied by traditional music.
Day 5: Merzouga – Draa Valley – Ouarzazate
Wake early to watch the sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast, travel to Rissani to visit its bustling market. Continue through Tamnougalt Kasbah and Agdez village before entering the scenic Draa Valley, with its lush palm groves and ancient kasbahs. Reach Ouarzazate in the evening and enjoy an overnight stay with views of the Atlas Mountains.
Day 6: Ouarzazate – Taroudant – Agadir
Depart Ouarzazate and journey back toward Agadir, stopping at Taznakht, famous for its hand-woven carpets. Continue to Taliouine, known for saffron production, for lunch. Proceed to the Berber town of Taroudant, often called “Little Marrakech” for its traditional charm, before arriving in Agadir to conclude your 6-day adventure.
