Itinerary :

Day 1: Tangier – Chefchaouen

Upon arrival in Tangier, your journey begins toward the Rif Mountains. The road winds through scenic landscapes before reaching Chefchaouen, one of Morocco’s most charming towns, famous for its blue-washed buildings.

Spend the afternoon exploring the old town with its narrow cobbled streets, artisan workshops, and lively squares. Visit the historic kasbah and enjoy panoramic views framed by the surrounding mountain peaks, which gave the city its Berber name meaning “the horns.” Overnight in Chefchaouen.

Day 2: Chefchaouen – Fes

After breakfast, depart for Fes, one of Morocco’s most important cultural and spiritual centers. Upon arrival, begin discovering this UNESCO-listed city, including the royal quarter, the historic Jewish district, and scenic viewpoints overlooking the old medina.

Walk through the maze-like streets organized by ancient guilds, where traditional crafts such as pottery, leatherwork, and dyeing are still practiced. This medieval city feels frozen in time, offering a fascinating glimpse into Morocco’s past. Overnight in Fes.

Day 3: Fes – Middle Atlas – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Desert

Leave Fes and travel south through the Middle Atlas Mountains. Stop in Ifrane, known for its alpine-style architecture, and continue through cedar forests where Barbary macaques roam freely.

After passing through mountain towns, continue toward the Ziz Valley, a spectacular landscape filled with endless palm groves and desert scenery. Arrive in Merzouga, on the edge of the Sahara, where you will begin a camel trek across the dunes at sunset. Reach your desert camp, enjoy dinner, traditional music, and a night beneath a brilliant star-filled sky.

Day 4: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley – Ouarzazate

Wake early to witness sunrise over the dunes before leaving the desert. Travel through desert towns and palm groves, with the option to visit fossil workshops along the way.

Arrive at the Todra Gorges, where towering canyon walls rise dramatically above a crystal-clear river. Enjoy time to explore the gorge on foot before continuing through the Dades Valley, known for its rugged rock formations and kasbah-lined landscapes. Pass through the Valley of Roses and palm-filled oases before reaching Ouarzazate.

Day 5: Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – High Atlas – Marrakech

Begin the day exploring Ouarzazate’s cultural heritage, including film-related sites if desired. Continue to the fortified village of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Morocco’s most iconic kasbahs.

After exploring the ancient earthen architecture, travel through the High Atlas Mountains, stopping to admire panoramic views and Berber villages along the way. By afternoon, arrive in Marrakech, where the desert landscapes give way to bustling city life.

Day 6: Marrakech – Departure

After breakfast, enjoy free time depending on your departure schedule. Later, transfer to the airport, marking the end of your memorable 6-day journey from Tangier to Marrakech filled with culture, adventure, and unforgettable scenery.
